Sixth Week in Ordinary Time - Trinity Sunday

Congratulations to our First Communicants!  May you be forever nourished by the Body and Blood of Christ.

All Saints Parish in San Pierre offers the opportunity for Eucharistic Adoration every Sunday from 10 AM until Noon.

Pope Benedict's talks during his visit to the United States should be carefully studied, not only by Catholics, but by our society as a whole.  His words at each event are archived on the EWTN website.  Take time to read them and think about his message.

Reconciliation will be available from 3:30 to 4 PM every Saturday until further notice.  Confessions are heard at All Saints in San Pierre on Saturdays from 5:15 to 5:45 PM and Sundays from 8:15 to 8:45 AM.

Items needed for the Food Pantry this month:  Small dish soap, toiletries, sardines, crackers, paper products, feminine products, tomato products, Kool-ade, canned pasta, and canned beans.

If you are in need of prayer or know someone in need of prayer, call Amy Morey at 896-3452.

The right to life is the greatest civil rights issue of our time.  This is the issue that will determine whether America remains a hospitable society, committed to caring for women in crisis and their unborn children, committed to caring for those with special needs, committed to caring for the elderly and the dying -- or whether America betrays our heritage and the truths on which its Founders staked their claim to independence.  - Archbishop Edwin F. O'Brien, October 1, 2007.

Catholics have an obligation to vote in accordance with the moral teachings of the Church.  We live in a time where intrinsically evil policies have become part of the mainstream.  The United States has nearly fifty million active Catholics.   There are seventeen million more Catholics who do not practice their faith.  We have the power and the moral obligation to make a difference.  As the elections approach, take time to read the Voting Guide for Serious Catholics, available to read online at Catholic Answers Action.

Starke County Relay for Life will held at the fairgrounds in Hamlet beginning at Noon on May 31st until 6 AM on June 1st.  For information, call 866-522-2111 or http://events.cancer.org/rflstarkecoin

Retrouvaille -- A Lifeline for Troubled Marriages:  Do you feel lost, alone, or bored in your marriage?  Are you frustrated, hurt or angry with your spouse?  Are you constantly fighting?  Or, do you simply shut down?  Have you thought about separation or divorce?  Does talking about it only make it worse?  If any of the above describes your marriage, Retrouvaille can help.  The next Retrouvaille Program begins with the weekend of June 13-15, 2008.  For information, call 260-485-1944 or 800-470-2230.  All inquiries are confidential.

Knowing and understanding the Catholic Faith is so important to our spiritual growth. Maybe you are a Catholic who wants to learn more about the faith, or maybe you are a non-Catholic who is curious, but reluctant or unable to find someone to help you. Here are a couple of easy ways to learn on your own. Catholic Home Study Service offers 8 FREE home study courses. You receive a textbook and workbook with study questions. You can send your workbook answers in by mail or over the Internet where any corrections can be made and your questions will be answered. There is no charge for the course, and no one will call on you.

Or, for a mere $5 per month, you can sign up for for a monthly infusion of inspiration and truth from world renowned Catholic Speakers on CD! Visit Lighthouse Catholic Media to learn how!

Check the Online Calendar for a complete schedule of meetings and events this week.

How can I find what the Catholic Church really teaches and why?
The late Bishop Fulton J. Sheen once said that "not 100 in the United States hate the Roman Catholic Church, but millions hate what they mistakenly think the Roman Catholic Church is." Indeed, there are many misconceptions about what the Catholic Church teaches. Click on Links for answers.
